The Managed Care Community of Practice (MCCOP) has been offering trainings on the state’s transition from Community Habilitation to the Community First Choice Option (CFCO). As of January 1, 2020, Community Habilitation services will be available under the NYS Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) Comprehensive 1915(c) Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Waiver and the Community First Choice Option (CFCO) in both the Fee for Service and Medicaid Managed Care delivery systems.
In April, in-person trainings offering technical assistance to providers on the transition were held in Albany, NYC and Rochester. Providers may download the PowerPoint from these in-person events here.
