The 2021 Virtual Art Show

The NY Alliance has held an art show exhibiting the incredible artistic talents of people with disabilities during our Annual Conference for several years. Typically, we ask for pieces related to the theme of our Annual Conference but like everything else this year, we needed a change!

This year, we gave the Art Show its own theme and asked participants to submit artwork that represents emotions and thoughts around what we have all gone through in the past year - a global pandemic, civil unrest, advocacy for people with disabilities, depression, loneliness, change, the "new norm", hope for the future, etc.

We received more than 250 unique pieces from more than 35 provider organizations across New York State. Pieces include paintings, drawings, photographs, videos, poems, raps, and more. Click View Page buttons below to view these incredible submissions. Make sure to read the next section for great tips for viewing the art show!

Start Here: Tips for Viewing

Artwork is separated by organization in alphabetical order across three webpages.

Mouse over an image to preview information about the piece. To enlarge the image, click on the picture. The artist information, bio and other information will be included in the right sidebar.

In the expanded view of a picture, use the small right or left arrows on either side of the picture to view all artwork for the organization. Also in the expanded view, click the two arrows icon in the top left corner to view the image full screen (and see all of the amazing detail!)

If you are viewing on a mobile device, tap on a picture twice to expand an image and scroll down to view more information about each piece.
